1 The percentage increase in salaries/fees is based on annualised amounts for Jean-Claude Marchand and John Parcell and, in respect of the Chairman, is computed before deduction of a salary sacrifice taken in the first four months of 1996 at the rate of £75,000 per annum, in exchange for contributions by the company, on his behalf, to an individual money purchase pension plan.
2 Jean-Claude Marchand's remuneration is paid in Swiss francs and is converted at SF2.37 to the £.
