About the photographer
Alex Grimm was born in Hanau, Germany in 1976. Alex started working for local newspapers at the age of 17. From 2000 to 2002 he worked for a German sports photo agency and covered soccer and Formula One throughout Europe. Alex joined Reuters as a freelance photographer based in Frankfurt at the end of 2003.
